To make-up or not to make-up that is the question

This is not a life changing post, just felt like posting it.

I have a weird relationship with make-up.  I think it looks great on other people, and I know I look better if I wear it, but I am not sure that I consider the payoff worth the effort.
I have developed a system on deciding if I'm going to wear make-up.
Do I feel like wearing it? Usually no, so I have to move to other criteria.
Is it a special occasion, such as a wedding or some such event?
If answer is yes, then I tell myself to "buck up buttercup and wear it."
If it is not a wedding, is it church or a gathering with friends?
If yes, then I tell myself to "wear it, it is not going to kill you."
Is it breakfast or lunch with just one friend?  Since I would not be friends with someone who cared whether or not I wore makeup, then I will or I won't, depending on my mood.
Am I just running errands? Most likely, I won't wear it, I don't care if it bothers anyone.  Hopefully, my smile and kind attitude will be enough.
By the way, my whole make-up routine consists of tinted moisturizer and mascara and sometimes lipstick, if it is a special occasion (see what constitutes a special occasion above).
